Exploration One

Exploration One: Hey guys, my name is Johnny Pilutti. I'm from Dublin, Ohio and my major is communications with a focus on broadcasting. One fun fact about me is that im a member of The Ohio State University Athletic Band. The athletic band is a sister band to the marching band. Yes, i am still a band geek even after high school. / As a reader, i read at a very quick rate and i tend to grasp whatever material i'm reading during that time. As a write I struggle to have my thoughts translate to paper quite often. I better learn how to write if i aspire to have any sort of media career going forward. As someone who aspires to either talk into a microphone or camera for a living, i would love to have a firm grasp on the english language. This course is one of many i will have to take in my time at Ohio State to make my goal happen. ESPN is the most competitive news network in the country. I'll have to make sure i work at it. My music tastes are a little ridiculous. I can go from listening to rock, to rap, to jazz, to edm all within a ten minute window. My favorite band has to be The Foo Fighters. After seeing them live, im biased of course. Music isn't about making the bass drop or compiling as many swear words as possible into a three minute window. Music is about conveying a message through either lyrics or style. The Foo Fighters have managed to do that stylistically and lyrically for nearly twenty years. Their biggest known song, Everlong, is up tempo and upbeat. I implore anyone who hasn't heard it to go listen to it. Another huge interest of mine is T.B.D.B.I.T.L. I fangirl over every halftime performance they put on. I plan on trying out again next fall. I don't need to sell anyone on this topic, it sells itself! Also: I'm not very photogenic and most of my pictures from my summer Puerto Rico trip are on my home desktop. I might randomly put one up on the blog if my mom remembers to send me one. It should be a fun spring semester and i look forward to getting to know all of you!
