Exploration Two from Brandon

Hello, my name is Brandon. I am currently studying mechanical engineering at OSU. I enjoy robotics, I have been on a robotics team for five years now. I spent four years as a student, and I am starting my first year as a mentor to the team. Robotics has lead me to my current interest in engineering, and I am giving back my interest to the students.

I enjoyed the poem The Lanyard by Billy Collins because I am close with my mother. I know I can never repay her for everything she has done or will do. However when I have made her things she accepts them as if I have repaid her and so much more. Which only makes me that much more further away from being able to repay her. My favorite line of the poem is "and taught me to walk and swim and I in turn presented her with a lanyard." because a mother constantly teaches her child new things, and in turn is greeted with simple gifts that mean the world to only her.

Senior Picture. Taken in Pawleys Island, SC.
My favorite place on Earth.

The robot my team built last year.
